Dr. Shiloh & Dr. Scott have a unique perspective on True Crime as residents of the center of the entertainment world and the birthplace of the Crime Noir genre.

Bonus: The Exorcist Superfan
In this Bonus Halloween episode, Dr. Scott and Dr. Shiloh interview their dear friend, Al Hobbs, a super fan of the The Exorcist. He will fill us in on how he became fascinated with the movie & the book, personal stories of the real possession victim and will help us dive deeper into the experiences of the film crew and actors.
11. The Exorcist- Crossover with Hollyweird Paranormal
Dr. Scott and Dr. Shiloh team up with Tammie and Brice of the podcast Hollyweird Paranormal to examine the classic horror film, The Exorcist. Dr. Scott will catch you up on the history and cultural aspects of possession, while Tammie gives you the receipts on the true story of possession that influenced the movie. Then Brice fills us in on the curse of the production of the film and Dr. Shiloh finishes this thrilling episode off with a tale of a serial killer likely linked to the film.

Dr. Scott and Dr. Shiloh analyze The Staircase documentary from a psychological perspective, covering the odd characters in the series and the influence is had on the audience & jury, as well as the struggles of families of people going through the criminal justice system. This episode centers around the criminal behaviors of Arson and the psychological disorder of Pyromania. After being contacted by Frank Girardot, the true crime author, about his recently released book Burned: Pyromania, Murder and a Daughter's Nightmare, Dr. Shiloh and Dr. Scott decided that it was timely to cover the story of John Orr, the most notorious serial arsonist.

Dr. Scott and Dr. Shiloh discuss the history of cults in Southern California and highlight some of the more historical and infamous groups from the Golden State. Dr. Scott tells his own story about being approached by the leader of Buddhafield (of Holy Hell fame) & Dr. Shiloh gives us some insight into the psychological profile of someone who joins a cult.
